Ng Chu Yin

Ng Chu Yin is an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya who obtained her first degree in Quantity Surveying. She is also a UK Chartered Quantity Surveyor and a Consultant Quantity Surveyor of the Board of Quantity Surveyor Malaysia.

Prior to her legal career, she worked 13 years in the construction industry across three different jurisdictions (Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand).

She commenced her career in a quantity surveying firm before joining construction companies locally and abroad. Her work experience focused on assisting the clients on real-time ongoing construction projects dealing with advisory works including contract review, reviewing risks of contractual clauses and contractual compliance.

She also focuses on monitoring project issues such as delays and disputes relating to extension of time, prolongation, and disruptions. During this period, she had the opportunity to consult on complex engineering projects including the mass rapid transit rail, and the light rail transit projects. She was also involved in large-scale commercial and residential construction projects.

She currently practices in the areas of construction, engineering, and infrastructure. Her involvements primarily focus on dispute resolutions including litigation, arbitration, and adjudication.

Alongside legal practice, Chu Yin is a member of the panel of adjudicators of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC). She is currently a committee member of the Malaysian Bar Construction Law Committee and the Arbitration Committee.
